Squarespace review

Squarespace for UK dropshipping: what it really costs.

Squarespace is a website builder known for its designs, and all four of its plans let you sell. It looks after the hosting and the card payments, and you build the website yourself. For dropshipping you connect an app made by another company. This review covers what you get, what you have to add, and what a month really costs, all taken from Squarespace's own website.

Our review in short

A website builder with a shop built in, and dropshipping added by other companies.

Squarespace's Core plan gives you the hosting, a checkout and card payments, with no extra fee on your sales. For dropshipping you connect an app made by another company, such as Spocket, Syncee or DSers, and you build the website yourself. Everything here comes from Squarespace's own website, which we checked on 5 November 2026.

What you get

  • Its prices are in pounds, and its pricing page shows them with VAT added
  • From the Core plan up, there's no extra fee on your sales
  • Core includes one Google Workspace email address free for the first year
  • A free web address for the first year if you pay for the year
  • 14 days free to try it, with no card needed

What to watch out for

  • Its dropshipping apps are made by other companies, and Squarespace says it doesn't support them
  • Business cards and American Express cost 3% + 25p, and international cards 1% more
  • There are no refunds on monthly plans
  • The Basic plan adds a 2% fee on every sale

What you really pay each month

Everything a Squarespace dropshipping shop pays in a month.

Choose a Squarespace plan and move the sliders to your size of shop. The receipt adds up the plan, the app that connects your shop to AliExpress, a business email address, your web address and the card fees on your sales.

How dropshipping works on Squarespace

Four steps, with an app made by another company.

  1. 01

    Your Squarespace website

You build your website and shop using one of Squarespace's designs. Squarespace hosts it and takes the card payments.

  2. 02

    A supplier app

You connect a dropshipping app through Squarespace Extensions, such as Spocket or Syncee, or connect DSers.

  3. 03

    Products in, orders out

The app copies products into your shop, and when a customer pays, it sends the order to the supplier.

  4. 04

    To your customer's door

The supplier posts the parcel straight to your customer, so you never handle the stock.
