This page explains what UK Dropshipper keeps about you when you use this website, what we use it for, who else handles it for us, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
UK Dropshipper is owned and run by Mediatopia Solutions Limited, a company registered in England and Wales as number 07351080, at 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We decide what happens to the information this website collects, which makes us what the law calls the data controller. You can contact us by email at hello@mediatopia.co.uk, by phone on 0117 299 0348, or through our contact page.
When you visit a page
Each time you open a page, our website records which page it was, the page you came from, the kind of browser you are using, the country you are in and your internet address. This happens on our server while the page is being put together, so nothing is written to your device. We use it to keep the website running and secure, and to see which organisations are visiting.
Your internet address is removed once it has been matched to an organisation, or after seven days, whichever comes first. We keep a scrambled form of it, which can't be turned back into the address, so that we can tell when the same visitor comes back.
When you send us a message
When you use the form on our contact page, we keep your name, your email address, the topic you picked and your message. It is saved in our system and emailed to us so that we can reply. We keep it for two years from the last time we were in touch with you.
When you sign up for price alerts
When you sign up for price alerts, we keep your email address, and your first name if you give it. We use them to email you when a company on this website changes its prices, and when we publish a new guide. Every email has a link to stop them, and when you use it we stop sending them.
When you use the chat
When you type a question into the chat in the corner of the page, we keep the conversation so that it can carry on as you move around the website, and so that we can see what people ask. The answers are written by an artificial intelligence service run by OpenAI, which is sent the conversation to answer it. We keep conversations for two years, the same as messages sent through the contact page. Please don't type anything into the chat that you wouldn't want us to keep.
Why we are allowed to use it
The law says we need a reason to use your information. We reply to your messages and chats, keep the website secure and look at who visits because it is in our legitimate interest to run the website and answer the people who use it. We send price alerts because you have asked us to, and you can change your mind at any time. We keep records where the law requires us to.
Who else handles it for us
We use a small number of companies to run this website. Each one only handles what it needs to do its job:
- Vercel hosts the website and delivers the pages to your browser.
- Supabase runs the database where the website's pages, your messages, the price alerts list, chat conversations and visit records are kept. The database for this website is in London.
- SendGrid sends the emails: your message to us, and the price alerts to you.
- OpenAI writes the chat's answers.
- Google supplies the typefaces the website uses, which your browser loads from Google, so Google sees your internet address when it does.
Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires, such as contracts approved for the purpose.
We never sell your details, rent them out or pass them to anyone for their own marketing.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we keep about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it or use it less, and ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. You can withdraw your agreement to price alerts at any time. To do any of these, email hello@mediatopia.co.uk and we will reply within 30 days.

This website doesn't put cookies on your device when you visit. Our cookie policy explains the little the chat keeps in your browser, and how to clear it.
